Pacific region’s low profile in global change 18 Continued analysis from the Pacific Science Congress

Abstract

In June this year, more than 1,000 scientists from more than 50 countries in the Pacific and other parts of the world gathered in Beijing to participate in the 18th Pacific Science Conference. This is a comprehensive international academic conference involving natural sciences, social sciences, engineering sciences, medicine and health, education and culture, and many other disciplines. It is also the first conference held in China since the establishment of the Pacific Science Association 75 years ago.
